It was a Facebook poke from Lisa that began the online interest between her and Chris. It wouldn’t be long before a first date was set in motion consisting of dinner & cocktails. The would share a first kiss that evening next to a garbage can in Grand Central Station which has remained a long running joke between the two.
On date 2 Chris wooed her with a single stargazer lily followed by dinner in Little Italy, during the Feast of San Gennaro. “The sparks flew”, she gushes, “And it was then that I knew he was “the one”.
Fast forward 3 ½ years: Chris escorted Lisa back to the scene of the crime, the Grand Central garbage can where they shared their first kiss. He got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. After she happily accepted and they were joined by both sets of parents at an Oyster Bar located in the downstairs area of Grand Central. Awwwww
They were married on June 15th 2012 at the Church of St. Joseph in Bronxville NY. Lisa cascaded down the aisle in an Alvina Valenta from Kleinfelds and Ivanka Trump shoes. She was received by Chris wearing a Ralph Lauren with an ascot tiepin also worn by his Grandfather & father at their weddings. The ceremony was followed by a gorgeous reception at Tappan Hill Mansion where the room was transformed by Forever in Bloom Florists/Lighting. The Kenny Ford Band of Hank Lane Music rocked the dance floor.
Thank you Lisa & Christopher for sharing your beautiful day with us!
