Just like wedding photography, wedding cinematography has evolved through the years and is unrecognizable from what it used to be only a few years ago. Current technology has propelled wedding cinematography into the realm of art, and the video crew working behind cameras on weddings are not only diligently recording every moment of the day, but are also creating a unique visual story that can later be shared among friends and family, and through social media if the couple wishes to. More and more couples are choosing to have a cinematographer on their special day, and there are great reasons to do so.
2) Most videography packages come with a trailer/short film that highlights the most beautiful moments from the day. It is a wonderful thing to look forward to for the couples post-wedding.
3) Like photography, video is another way to preserve memories for a lifetime. Along with photo albums from the wedding, a video can be viewed over again, and the special day re-lived time and time again.
4) Often on the day of the wedding the video crew will collaborate with the photography team, and having two teams work off each other not only provides the best possible shots for both, but also helps streamline the shooting process and make it a more seamless and comfortable experience for the couple.
5) Video also provides a different perspective of the day. It’s one thing to live through your wedding day, it’s another to see photos from it, and it’s a whole new experience to see it beautifully crafted in a full-feature film.
