When the excitement of your wedding dies down, it’s so much fun to reminisce about the most amazing night by looking through hundreds and hundreds of Anthony Vazquez and team’s stunning images documenting the day.
After working for Anthony Vazquez Photography for almost three years and helping hundreds of brides choose images for their album, I thought the process would be a breeze for me! Turns out when they’re your own photos, it’s really hard to decide! So after a few months of going over and over the photos and slowly eliminating them, I came up with my final picks. My objective throughout the whole process was to tell a story and I think that with my final album photos, I achieved my goal. However, it’s so difficult to determine what is an important photo, essential in telling your wedding story, versus one that you just really like but may not actually add anything to the album, and with so many amazing images to choose from it’s easy to get carried away.
Since I moved to Nashville right after my wedding, I wasn’t able to go through the photos with anyone and I realize that it’s important to have an objective party (aka Ashley the production manager) involved in helping you choose them because she is able to separate the emotion from the photo (i.e. I look really good in that one) versus one that will further your story, and while you want the photos in your album to evoke emotion, Ashley will be able to offer you a new perspective on your photos and help you decide which are essential for the album!
It can be a bit overwhelming so I suggest you start going through them well before your album appointment, preferably with a glass of wine, so you can enjoy the process and enjoy reliving your beautiful wedding, and not feel stressed about narrowing them all down at once! Happy photo picking!
