Times Square has always been a taboo place for New Yorkers who often moan and groan at the thought of having to trek through it. Brooke & Anthony never imagined they would meet a fellow New Yorker let alone the love of their lives at this very spot!
Brooke was gracious enough to play tour guide to her sister, who was visiting from out of town, escorting her to dinner and a show. After the show they decided to go for a drink at the nearby W Hotel in Times Square. Anthony, running late from a class nearby was to meet his friend for a drink as well. Destination = W hotel in Times Square!
They quickly locked eyes and after slowly moving closer toward one another Brooke broke the ice. The couple shared a drink followed by a dance and then off to the Brooklyn Promenade as neither was ready to call it a night just yet.
Brooke admits, “There was no “a-ha” moment – it was a gradual progression of true love!” Their relationship grew naturally becoming best friends and falling deeper than either could have imagined.
A few years later Brooke and her mother planned to spend the day touring the wineries of the North Fork in Long Island. It ended up being one of the hottest days and in July so they decided against going cancelling their plans. The next day Anthony wanted to make up for the disappointing day before and suggested they go out east and take the tour. They hopped in the car and made a quick pit stop to his parent’s house to “pick something up”. Once they arrived out east they proceeded to stop at their favorite market for an antipasto spread and then off to their favorite winery, Bedell. After purchasing their bottle of red the couple found a secluded spot to set up their picnic. Brooke recalls the moment Anthony looked up at her and said “this is a memorable day, right?” And she nonchalantly replied “sure!” Anthony now on one knee proceeded to say, “I want to make this the most memorable day.” He asked and she happily accepted. The newly engaged celebrated with surprise weekend at a local B&B to kick off the happy occasion!
Brooke & Anthony were married on September 1st 2012 at the New Hyde Park Inn which was transformed by Flowers by Brian. Brooke cascaded down the aisle in a Pnina Tornai dress with Jimmy Choo shoes will Anthony rocked a Forresto Tux. Pennylane Productions joined us in capturing their special day!
