High School sweethearts still going strong! Jaclyn & Michael met through mutual friends during their sophomore year of high school. Although they went to different schools, the couple continued to cross paths at social gatherings. This was young love, in fact Michaels mother drove them to the movie theater on their first date because they were too young to drive! Fast-forward to a few years later, they went separate ways and off to college. Despite doubts that a long distance relationship wouldn’t work, Jaclyn and Michael continued to talk to each other everyday. They spent their weekends visiting each other at college and college breaks together in their hometown.
What started off as a day of Christmas shopping turned into a proposal! Jaclyn was picking mike up at his house to go shopping, as she walked in she heard “Everything”, by Michael Buble playing. This song was very meaningful throughout their relationship (then later became their wedding song.) Jaclyn continued through the foyer to see rose petals all over the floor, pictures of the couple throughout the years spent together hanging from the ceiling and a large poster that said, “Will you marry me?” Jaclyn said, “ I have never been more surprised in my life! When I saw Mike on one knee, my eyes immediately teared up. I cried in his arms for a little, and then eventually said yes!”
Thank you Jaclyn & Michael for sharing your special day and amazing love story with us!
