A true New Yorker at heart, Barbara began her creative journey in Manhattan as an aspiring artist. When drawings and paintings couldn’t quite capture the vision in her head, she turned to the camera—and instantly discovered her passion. What began as an experiment became a lifelong gift: the ability to capture people, emotions, and fleeting moments with artistry and heart.
After studying studio art and photography in Arizona, Barbara returned to NYC to launch her career in commercial production, working with fashion powerhouses such as Victoria’s Secret. Yet as a young mother, she soon found herself drawn to a different kind of artistry. When she was invited to assist at a wedding, she instantly fell in love with the joy, intimacy, and beauty of documenting life’s most meaningful celebrations.
Since then, Barbara has devoted her career to wedding photography, bringing a soulful, artistic eye to every event. For over twenty years, she has been a cornerstone of Anthony Vazquez Photography, where her images are celebrated for their elegance, vibrancy, and emotional depth.
“I truly have my dream job,” Barbara says. “To witness love, to create art, and to give couples memories they will cherish for generations—it’s the greatest gift an artist could ask for.”
