Susanna & Tony met almost nine years ago in July of 2005 and started dating October 2005. There was construction being done at Susanna’s house and Tony’s dad was the owner of the construction co. Tony would often go to work with his dad and the two would spend hours talking while he was technically “on the job.” They started a friendship and then began dating. When asked what made you realize it was love Susanna said. “I think we realized it was love when we both saw how comfortable we were with each other. We would spend hours talking on the phone and there were days that we would spend all day together (and not get sick of one another lol).”
In September 2012 the couple got engaged. It was a beautiful fall day in September and Tony told Susanna he wanted to go to the Wax Museum (this was something on their to do list). Susanna wasn’t feeling well that day and was being stubborn about going, but he convinced her to go. They were on the train and he skipped the stop for the Wax Museum and continued the ride to Central Park. At that point she was confused, but he explained that he really wanted to see the park (another thing on their list to do). He explained that if he told her they would be outdoors, she wouldn’t go, so he lied and said they would go to the museum and be indoors. They walked around, took some pictures, and had lunch in Central Park. They also went on a boat ride, which led Susanna to get a little suspicious because she didn’t want to go on the boat and he forced her to. However, she did get thrown off because there was no bulge from a ring box in his jean pockets and he wasn’t wearing anything to hide a box. Finally around 5, o’clock Susanna started to complain and they went home. The train ride home was silent, as she was mad from being dragged out, and he wasn’t “feeling well from the food”, but really it was just nerves for what was about to happen. They got home and her parents were casually sitting on the couch watching TV, and Susanna ran to get changed into comfortable clothes. As she opened the bedroom door, there were roses EVERYWHERE and a collage of photos of the two through the years. The poster said, “Will you marry me?”, and when she turned around he was on his knee with the ring out. Afterwards family and friends came over to celebrate. Susanna said, “It was a magical day and worth dragging me out for”!
The Couple was married July 12, 2014 at Westmount Country Club. Dazzling Affairs helped coordinate the affair. Pedestals created a beautiful room. The Bride was stunning in a Kenneth Pool gown paired up with Sergio Rossi shoes. The groom was wearing Christian Louboutin shoes. The Bride and bridesmaids were dazzling in Jewelry by Thomas Knoell Designs.
Thank you Susanna & Tony for sharing your special day and story with us!
